On October 28th and 29th, the renown Thomas J. Slovenski, cellular forensic expert and one of my teachers in this subject area will be offering a training class at the U-Spy Store in Orlando near Sea World.
This 16 Hour workshop includes 2 days of instruction and hands-on lab work with actual cell phones in a fully equipped lab setting. Mobile Forensics topics that will be covered include: Acquisition, Preservation, Analysis and Presentation of CDMA and GSM cell phones, SIM Cards, Memory Cards, Faraday Preservation, Search Warrants, and applicable Laws.
At the conclusion of the workshop, students will have a strong fundamental knowledge of cell phone forensics. Each student will be provided with a certificate of completion in addition to 16 hours of Continuous Education Units from the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED).
Course Requirements:
Students should have basic computer knowledge with the ability to work in a Windows environment. Each student will be furnished with their own laptop containing forensic software. Content of this course can benefit both the novice computer user and the technically savvy professional.
